Those who have studied the Quranic recitation are likely familiar with the term “Tajweed rules.” To perfect, adorn, or improve is the definition of the word in its purest form. It is a series of guidelines used by Muslims to recite the Quran like that taught to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) by Jibreel.<\/span><\/p>\n

The scholars had to write down the guidelines because errors in Qur’anic recitation began to arise as Islam spread among non-Arabs and Arabs. Since their native Arabic notably differs from the Classical Arabic in which the Qur’an was revealed, even Arabs today must understand Tajweed’s rules.<\/span><\/p>\n
